2020-2021 season recap

What a season!

At times, we didn’t know if it would happen. We were put on pause until January 4, then

we were not assured of a section meet, and the state meet was announced a couple

weeks before the event.Nothing was “normal” but it was memorable.

The team experienced close contact quarantines, assigned lanes and assigned seats

on buses, no locker room use, social distancing on deck and in the water, no “fun” team

activities like water polo, team meals, parties and even working with their team brothers,

no fans in the stands (except for the fan heads), and no multi team invitationals except

for the section meet which featured 4 teams at a time.

The Elks ended up 3rd in the conference out of 12 teams with a dual meet record of 8-2.

The Elks placed 4th at the very competitive Section 8AA meet. Four Elks advanced to

the state meet, and our two divers placed in the top 8, earning All-State honors. We had

18 letter winners, 6 team members earning All-Conference honors, and 4

All-Conference honorable mentions. Three varsity records were set-- in the 6-dive and

11-dive events, and in the 100 butterfly.

We are graduating 11 seniors and are looking for new team members for next season!
